This workshop isn’t built on opinion — it’s built on a controlled experiment published in the International Journal of Commerce and Contracting and co-authored by your facilitators, Tim Cummins and Dr. Keld Jensen. Three setups were pitted against each other — human vs human, AI (ChatGPT) on one side only, and AI on both sides — and measured across four dimensions. The results speak for themselves.
When both negotiators used ChatGPT, they arrived far better prepared. Human-only teams — and teams where just one side used AI — planned less thoroughly.
Collaboration peaked when both sides used AI. Strikingly, it was lowest when only one side had AI — the mismatch reduced openness below even the all-human teams.
The more AI in the room, the more value was captured — rising from human-vs-human, to one-sided AI, to the highest value of all when both sides used ChatGPT.
Human-only teams used nearly all their time and often ran out before agreeing. Both-AI teams reached agreement fastest, closing with time still on the clock.

These Terms & Conditions govern your registration for and participation in any training program offered by SMARTnership. By completing registration, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
Each Program is subject to a maximum number of participants. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis and is not confirmed until full payment is received.
SMARTnership reserves the right to refuse enrollment to, or remove from any session, any individual at its sole discretion, including where participation may create a conflict of interest, compromise confidential materials, or involve competing organizations.
All content — frameworks, methodologies, materials, and verbal instruction — is the exclusive intellectual property of SMARTnership and/or Dr. Keld Jensen. Materials are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.
Recording of any session — audio, video, screen capture, or screenshot — is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate removal with no refund.
All participants must treat fellow attendees, facilitators, and staff with respect and professionalism. SMARTnership reserves the right to remove any participant who violates the Code of Conduct without refund.
SMARTnership’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant Program. SMARTnership does not guarantee specific business outcomes or financial gains as a result of attending.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Orange County, California.
